Accomodation - Kombo

Even though the housing situation is better in Linköping and Norrköping than in previous years, it is still difficult to find stable accommodation. Both in Linköping and Norrköping, it can take up to six months before you get stable housing. The availability of student housing should not be a decisive factor when choosing a place of study.Together with LinTek and Consensus, we run the students' rental association, KOMBO, to provide you with tips and advice on housing.

KOMBO, which is under our company Kårservice, is a free tenant organization for students at Linköping University. KOMBO can help you with everything related to housing. Everything from how to best find housing and write contracts to what rights and obligations you have as a resident. At the start of the term, KOMBO can also help arrange temporary sleeping accommodations, so-called emergency housing.

How do I get housing? – five tips for finding accommodation as a new student

1. Register with the large and slightly smaller housing companies. For each day you have been registered, you get a queue point, so make sure to queue at as many places as possible and log in regularly so you don't lose your points!

Notify a move to the authority as a student

You who move to study at a university or college should be registered at your place of study. The basic rule is that you should be registered where you live, that is, where you sleep the most nights. With an e-ID, you can use the Swedish Tax Agency's e-service to register your move, quickly and easily.
