Student sections

The sections are the student union's most important partners. The sections are non-profit student associations that in many cases are based on a program of study. Which section you belong to depends on which program you are studying. Almost all students belong to a section.

What distinguishes the sections from other student associations, apart from being linked to a specific program, is that the sections organize the reception period for new students (Nolle-P) and conduct educational monitoring and work environment activities together with the student union. The sections are part of the common thread between you, the student union, and the university. Without the sections, the student union would not exist, and vice versa. Together, the sections and the student union strive to ensure you have the best possible study experience. Within the sections, there are various committees, such as buddy programs or educational committees. Many sections also organize events such as sittings, parties, career fairs, or trips abroad.

Each section primarily works towards the individual program, while StuFF works for the entire university on central issues that concern all students. If the sections were to notice a problem that cannot be solved at the program level, they turn to StuFF, which then takes it to the university administration.
