The Nominating Committee should consist of a Chair and two members. The Committee holds ultimate responsibility for all forms of student union elections conducted during the operational year. This includes three main areas:

1. Election administration: Responsible for carrying out all elections, including regular elections and any by-elections. This includes both promoting the elections and managing their execution, regardless of the election platform.
2. Nomination of elected representatives: Responsible for nominating candidates for the Board and the Democracy Unit. This work includes, among other things, planning and implementing promotional activities, interviewing applicants, and preparing nominations for the General Assembly.
3. Staff recruitment: The Committee supports the Board in the recruitment of staff. This involves closely coordinating with the Board, promoting the recruitment process, and providing support. The Nominating Committee is also responsible for reviewing the Board’s recruitment of staff and reporting to the General Assembly if any issues in the democratic process are identified.

The work of the Nominating Committee is governed by the regulations for the Democracy Unit. The Committee is responsible for ensuring that all elections are conducted in accordance with the statutes.
