According to LiU it also needs to contain the main arrangements of the program, when it comes into effect and transitional regulations when an educational plan is changed. What feedback do I have a right to when I get my exam back?

After an exam the examiner should go through the exam at a given time. An alternative to that is that the examiner creates and presents a written suggestion for a solution, as well as giving the student an opportunity to contact them for additional information. If the examinator will go through the exam this should be relayed in conjunction with the exam. The exam review should take place at least 10 workdays before the next exam.

For forms of examination where an exam review or a  written suggestion isn't appropriate, the student should be given an alternative form of feedback on the exam.

Can I overrule a grade?

No, students can't overrule a grade (chapter 12 . 2 och 4 §§ Higher Education Ordinance). Students do however have the right to to ask for a correction or re-examination (changing) of a grade. There is no time limit for when such a request has to be made.

Correction
A grade that contains an obvious fault due to a writing error, counting error or similar can be corrected by the examiner.  (CHapter 6. 23 § Higher Education Ordinance and 36 § förvaltningslagen).

Re-examination
If an examiner finds that a grade is obviously incorrect because of new circumstances or some other reason, they have to change the grade, as long as it can happen quickly and the grade isn't lowered. (Chapter 6. 24 § Hinger Education Ordinance).

A government authority can change a decision it has relayed in it's first instance if it considers the decision incorrect because of new circumstances or because of some other reason. A decision that an individual stands to gain from is however only allowed to be changed to that persons disadvantage if the fault is due to the individual giving incorrect or misleading information. (37 § förvaltningslagen)

When a student demands correction or re-examination of a grade the demand must always be answered by a decision (approval or denial).

Normally a decision of correction or re-examination should be made by the same examinator as the first grading, If this is not possible someone else may make the decision. They have to be an examinator on the course in question.

Correction and re-examination that is to the disadvantage of a student should be handled with cauction and only in obvious cases. Change to the disadvantage of a student can become relevant if a student has cheated on an exam and in that case has the support of 37 § förvaltningslagen.

If an examiner considers correcting or changing a decision to the disadvantage of a student they should consult the legal department. Before the decision is made the student must be given an opportunity to speak on the matter.

A passing grade can't be changed to a failed grade upon a students request. Students who want to demand a correction or re-examination of a grade should be informed that they shouldn not collect their examination asssignment in it's original, since because of evidence problems the assesment of whether the student has a right to a different grade or not.
